Thomaston Volunteer Fire Department New Engine #7.
This pumper replaces an Oren pumper sold to Thomaston in 1979 . Note in
the bottom, right photo above, the dump valve with an enclosed
compartment just above it, designed to hold the portable pond. This
unique and highly efficient design, allows easy access to the portable
pond, which, when opened, is immediately ready to accept water from the
dump valve.
SPECIFICATIONS: CHASSIS: Spartan Metro Star 4-door 5 man tilt cab with a 10 inch raised roof ENGINE: Cummins ISL-400 Turbocharged 400 HP TRANSMISSION: Allison 3000EVS 5-speed automatic PUMP: Hale Q-Two 1250 gpm, two stage pump with all stainless steel valves and plumbing MONITOR: Akron Aries #3425 complete with stacked tips BODY: Complete stainless steel body including sub-frame DOORS: Gortite roll up doors with a brush finish BOOSTER TANK: UPF Poly-Tank IIE, 1000 gallon tank with a thru compartment for folding tank storage.
